Contact Balluff

Send the sensing requirement with the evidence you need back.

Use this page for product selection, sensor replacement, IO-Link integration, process instrumentation, or calibration documentation requests. The fastest response includes the installed part number, the target being measured, the controller or output signal, the environment, and any certificate expectation attached to the purchase.

What to include

A concise application note is more valuable than a long message. Tell us whether the task is presence, distance, position, pressure, flow, level, or temperature. Add the required output, expected range, target material, mounting limits, approval region, and whether a signed certificate or calibration record must ship with the device. This helps Balluff answer with a controlled recommendation instead of a generic product family.

For replacement work, include the existing part number and the reason it is being changed. Obsolescence, failure, longer cable length, protocol migration, or environmental damage each points to a different selection path.

If the request involves IO-Link, add the master model, network protocol, device description status, and whether parameters must be copied into an installed base. If the request involves process instrumentation, include the process media, normal and maximum range, fitting, wetted material concerns, and any hazardous-area notes. Those details prevent avoidable back-and-forth and make the reply useful for engineering review.

Quality teams can also mention the record format they expect. Some sites need only a datasheet and quote reference, while others need calibration data, uncertainty notes, service interval guidance, and a replacement trail that can be shown during an audit. Balluff treats those documentation requirements as part of the selection, not as an afterthought.

Clear inputs also help purchasing compare options without separating price from risk.
